The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation, in partnership with Indigenous Services Canada and the Future Generations Foundation, is honoured to host a national wellness and healing gathering to mark the 10-year anniversary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Final Report.

The gathering will welcome residential school Survivors, and cultural and health support workers from coast to coast to coast to share, reflect and heal.

Who Should Attend?

This gathering is for residential school Survivors, and resolution health support workers from an organization funded by Indigenous Services Canada.

Agenda:

December 15

A welcome dinner and gala honouring Survivors.

December 16-18

Plenary and breakout sessions focusing on mental health, communication, truth and reconciliation, connection, trauma recovery, art therapy, and more.

Cost:

The gathering is free to attend, however, guests must apply for a spot as we have limited spaces available.

Travel Funding:

A limited amount of travel funding is available. Please indicate in your application if you require this.

Bezhig miigwan calls upon us to see each Survivor coming to the NCTR as a single eagle feather and to show those Survivors the same respect and attention an eagle feather deserves. It also teaches we are all in this together — we are all one, connected, and it is vital to work together to achieve reconciliation.
